Which Tuning Chip to buy?





Hi,
I'm looking for a tuning chip to put into my Mini Cooper 1.3.

Would any body be able to assist me in finding one?

I saw these... Mini Tuning Chips
on Google and I'm quite interested.

I would advise you do alot of research into these, they are not always as good as they seem, i no anything that plugs in to improve performance i have been told to stay away. you should be able to have your managment system remapped asuming you have a newer bmw mini. This has become quite common, make sure you research the company, get feedback from previous customers. The maps are generic in that there are usually three types of map. ecomomy, ecomomy and power or power. Anyone who tells you it is a speacial map for your car is talking pap unless you ask for one then it will cost more. they will already have the map made up and will use it with every other customer. this should cost around £350, this serivce takes around 1 hour and no longer.

most CHIPS just alter the cars bass settings so removing some economy and moving into the dangerous / un predictable areas of the cars running i would never fit a off the shelf chip as theres no gaurenty that it will one make a any difference and 2 not *melons* up the engine

as i know people who have meleted pistons or worse blown the engine up with chips

so id say unless the company who fit it are willing to rr and the carand make a bespoke chip for you id steer clear
