I saw the speedo pointing straight down when mine was a 998, the clocks are pretty inaccurate so probably 80mph Damn those Autobahn's are fun..........

Update: I have taken the engine out and plan to rebuild it.
Plans are to make a more sportier 998 engine
Kent 266 cam
12g940 or 12 g 295 cylinder head
duplex timing gear
maybe ultralight flywheel
stage 1 kit
should make a nice sporty engine for the road
Edit: the wear on those rockers is that normal wear or do they need replacing?

Few more pics of progress
Have had the flywheel puller on the engine for 2 days now
I keep tightening it and pouring boiling water on it and hitting the puller bolt with a hammer
but the bugger is on incredibly tight.

This verto flywheel is well and truly stuck on , ive already destroyed one puller.
Ive got another puller on it now for 1 week and ive been constantly heating it up and cooling it whilst hitting the uller bolt with a hammer
Dont know what to do now, any advice, suggestions more than welcome.

They're in good conditions for being sintered rockers.
Most sintered out there will be in worst conditions.

Dont heat it or hit it
You could end up with damaged cranktail plus boiling water could cause puller failure.
Use this kind of puller and a big breaker bar, you'll need someone holding the lump firm while you're turning, you just need some brute force. Dont be tempted to use an impact gun and be carefull because the flywheel could release all of a sudden with a loud bang..

Thanks for your tips dude but i had to cut it off after destorying 2 heavy duty flywheel pullers.
Today i decided to grind off where the boss meets the crank in doing so destorying the crank, the boss, clutch pressure plate!
I will have to take it as a learning experience and not be so foolish in the future.
Some pictures of progress and what happened
Very foolish I am indeed
The centre camshaft bearing has some light scoring in it from when i removed the camshaft, i tried my best to be careful but it kept getting jammed in the middle, will it be okay to leave as is ??
Any pointers welcome guys thanks for looking
