i Have bought a Mini designer for £400. (added pics guys)

no T+t, non runner and very rusty , few tiny holes and been sitting for few years.

got it back home, got it running , will post pics soon.

welcome to tmf mate, glad you went and bought it, 400 is a good price to pay are you going to make it fully original (mary quant seats etc etc?) i have a brand new mary quant original bonnet badge for sale if your interested (and if yours doesnt have one!lol), cheers, brad

also , what oil is best for the standard engine in a mary quant.

A mineral 20w50 is what I have found to be ideal for all my mini's. Even with the later models, its still an old style engine in there.

i had a designer, wish i hadnt sold it... glad your keeping this one original!
