Think i have sorted the carn leak, tapped the bottom with a glazing hammer because i think the float may have been stuck from being sat there.
Had to strip all the plastics and seat down before i could get to the carb properly, not sure weather to keep the airbox on or use my k&n cone filter, though.
Heres the pipe which originally had the end off an allen key bit stuck in it, so i decided sort it out for now.
Picture of the carb (bottom)
Decided to check under here to see if everything is in order, which it was.
Back shot how it was (after the numberplate holder was taken off)
Fabricated a new plate holder for the side which bolts onto the casing holes.
Bolted on with normal casing bolts.
Bit dark here but you can just about see it.
All mounted up with some blue acrylic and a white DC decal behind, going to put some black vinyl on the back on the numberplate so this is more visable.

And one charged battery
Made some Stainless lead clips my dad gave me which i will turn into the threaded clip that goes over the plastics behind the panel for the slef tappers to screw into.. A long explaination because i dont know the name Need to drill them tomorrow. Crap pic
And my £4.21 Stainless steel sleft tappers.. 25 of them to replace the rusted ones on the bike for the mot and many of them are missing anyway.
Sorted!

Drilled the stainless clips today after carrying a huge pillar drill down the stairs Put a 6mm hole in one side and a 3mm at the back and to be honest they work better than the purpose made ones!
Swapped some more rusty screws for the stainless ones and had a quick session with the peanut oil.. I highly recomend it. If you apply with tissue and you get little white bits stuck just rinse it off with water, it also works as a pretty good polish for the paint too.
