I've used the Deox gel and this hydrate 80 stuff before: http://www.bilthambe.../hydrate80.html

Both worked really well. The hydrrate80 is abit like kurust but much better and more effective.

In addition to using Deox-C I'm also going to give electrolysis a go so I would be keen to see that guide as well.

try brick cleaner from B&Q - its mildly acidic and works well. relatively cheap too
