I noticed on the page with the costs on that someone mentioned there would be a track evening at Brands Hatch on the way back.
Is this included in the cost for the event?

its not a deal breaker or anything but would represent excellent value for money, if it was.

Might need someone to help bring a set of rears if theres two lots of track action!

What we're hoping to do if the track evening gets confirmed is offer a few parade laps to the runners before (or during a session half way through) the actual track action starts. These will be included in the price of the run, however to participate in the track evening itself won't. As you say, to include that won't represent fantastic value for money (which I think the cost already does anyway), but would also mean we'd make a huge loss! lol

The BBQ and spectating will also be free.

Blimey, I've been away for a few days working on the Mini, and come back to find I've started something I perhaps shouldn't!!!

Just to clarify, I wasn't asking for an excuse to drive my dads car or anything like that!

I will be driving MY mini 100%, no question about that. The question was if it would be OK for my dad to come along driving MY audi A3 turbo, acting as a support car if needed (seeing as it's about 100x more reliable than the average Mini, and twice as big).

There was never any intention for me to back out of driving my mini to the ring!

Of course, if none of those comments were directed my way, feel free to carry on!

There's already plenty of 'support vehicles' going. I know there will be a transit going which will be carrying all sorts of spares/bodge material and other stuff.
A3's arent really retro. Personally the last Audi that was retro was the S2. Since then Audi have gone on to make their cars bigger, better and more modern.

Ohh intereting.

I was planning on bringing my Clubby project (not as a project though, it will be a working car!!), but a lot of it is a learning experience for me so it might not be ready. Or at best its certainly not going to be painted haha!! if it doesn't make it I was planning on bringing a Golf Cabrio (not sure of the year yet, I pick it up next weekend). I was thinking of trying to swap it for a 205 though.

Well despite getting the impression a week ago it was ok, I've now been told my 306 won't be acceptable (even though I was going to sexify it possibly retro/euro stylee) so it appears I won't be coming

Go with Josh in his 205, if it gets so bad you need to change car we'll find you someone with a spare seat.

There are a number of support vehicles going in an unofficial capacity?

I don't want to go as a passenger, I'd spend the whole time wishing I could drive. And before you suggest it - no he wouldn't let me drive his car

A 306 isn't retro in the slightest, but there's nothing stopping you jumping on the same ferry and camping at the same campsite?

Same with the A3.
