Ive just got my car running, tried tuning it but it wasnt havning any of it, so I thought it's late ill do it tomorrow, nursed the car down the drive, onto the road turned around on the street(directly outside my drive) and drove into the garage. While I had my carb apart ealier a red car came past sat outside for 2 mins, revved up and shot off with wheelspin smoke etc. My car is running so bad it won't go above 2k rpm. As I start packing up, neighbour came out screamed at me to "stop revving you idiot" "what the hell is wrong with you". Then stormed off. Ratty cow.
This was about 8:30 by the way.

I overtook her once and she beeped and flashed her lights. It was a clear straight road and she was doing 40 in a national.
Rant over.

I hate neighbours, espcialy those who blame me for things I didn't do. Anyone else's neighbours hate their mini's?

Ny neighbour said i should scrap my mini because "you can't polish a turd".

iv got 3 mini's on front drive, i was working on one n neightbour asked "oh you still not found anyone to buy them yet"
obviously i repled "well no, as there not for sale"

Ha ha ha, I was going to say, stop shouting at me your making alot of noise you know. The ones by my house are all pretty good. Just the ones by my garage are numptys.

people over the road to us have loads of minis and run a mini business of some sort! so dont get any of that around by us but one of our neighbours is a bit misserable, she had a go at my mum because i overtook her husband in his big bmw, as he was doin 45 in a national stuck behind a camper!

I think people don't like being overtaken by mini's. People usualy accerlerate when I try.
Not funny and can be dangorous.

i hav a straight thru an 2 big pipes at the back, pretty loud, but classic rally loud if u get me.?
anyway a chap round the corner decided to his 2ltr calibra the same because the mini sounds so nice, but problem is his sounds like a parcel of *poop poop*! so for 3 nites in a row i had neighbours come banging on the door telling me to shut that f'ing mini up.

wasnt till he came roaring in round our street and knocked a neighbours kid down that they realised it wasnt me.

they really dont, i had a woman who slowley swerved towards the middle of the road when i was overtaking her! and then i cut her up as some idiot decided to overtake a lorry coming the other way (its a really wide road, you can ovetake between 2 lorries its that wide) and she honked the horn, flashed her lights, gave me the fingers, all because i had no room to move over as she had pushed me right into the middle of the road!

I think some people in general just don't like being overtaken.

On my way back today i was trying to overtake a Nissan Micra who was doing 35 in a national speed limit zone. He didn't want me to over take him that much he went into the middle of the road over the white lines. He then decided after i over took him he wanted to tailgate me. And this was all with me driving a non threatening Citroen!

My neighbours rock They love the mini! Over christmas they were our fan club, checking up on how we were getting on each day, and even brought a huge tub of spares over for us to trawl through as we were desperate for some bits.

They're around late 50s with 2 late teen kids by the way, and they don't have classic cars... they both have skodas Just really nice people.

Too right Sam, i find i get alot of people being petty when i overtake them in my works van....

Tonight was a prime example, driving up the A1m going uphill by the Angel of the North, the motorway splits from 2 lanes to 3, some muppet in a C2 GT was doing 50 in the outside lane (as it was still 2 lanes) So when it splits to 3, i went to overtake him, i got alongside him, so he decided to put his foot down a bit. /i did the same, and as the road merges back into 2 lanes, i was just say passed him, so just stuck my indictor on and pulled in anyway.

I was thinking, why be an a*****le just for the sake of it?

my old neighbour came out one morning and had a very 'spirited' go at me for revving when i started up. i tried to calmly explain that my choke wasnt working at the moment and its an old car etc, then he made the mistake of saying maybe i should take it to a garage as its clearly broken! little ! it had just passed an MOT and his micra was *peeing* oil all over the road. anyway, he said i was waking his step daughter up at 8 in the morning every day and she was complaining. i though toddler or something so fair enough i was apologetic. later found out she's 23. get a job you lazy *woman of ill repute*!

and just after christmas, they moved out randomly and someone else moved in. they hadnt said anything about it, no advertising board or anything and earlier that morning he even said hello. what a pillock.

Sound like the neighbours where I live, just not where my garage is. Accept one guy, hes a legend and works with my father, im using his pulley on my engine lift, hes let me borrow his precision socket set aswell in the past, hes rebuilding a lotus in his garage.

I'm mainly working evenings at the moment, but my dad has to reverse my mini to get his car out every morning, its got a straight through RC40 as well, wakes me up without fail, damn mini owners
