Ok got a wee bit done tonight,

Applied sound deadening to the floor, if anyone wonders why the finish on the transmission tunnel looks a bit sh*t, it's gonna be carpeted

Got the body prepped for paint today, will do the panels next week.

Also re-applied sound deadening to the underside of the bonnet, which I painted so I can place it on a trestle for painting the outside, I hate painting bonnets hanging up!

Also stamped a new VIN plate

And here's some random pictures. The last one is of a gingerbread dinosaur.

It's a '71 to '74 (41339) 25d, part number 12H3580X. Alternatives, are '75 on, (41610) Type 45D4, part no 13H9694, '67 to '70 (41155) 25D, part no 12H2722X, or '62 to '67, (40897) 25D, part no 12H792X. All off the top of my head. Not.

Yeah, yours is an early '72, so it should have the same one as mine.

Update - I've now got everything prepped ready for paint, but there's been a bit of a delay getting the paint.. I want to do it in basecoat, just because the finish and lifetime is alot better, but you apparently can't get Tartan Red in a basecoat.. I found out that Mazda Classic Red is an almost exact match, so I've ordered 3 litres of that. Will have to paint it next week now though, going to Scotland this weekend. Keep em peeled, ladles and jellyspoons.
