Looks a good project this, most of the parts are like a Mini, price-wise - I've got a 75 rubber bumper one and I've just poly-bushed the suspension and fitted uprated shocks - apparently they're standard shocks with thicker oil to firm them up a bit >_< Good luck with it!

Yeah so far, parts availability and prices are great! Not sure on the insurance front yet.. will figure that out later! I'll be able to get classic cover, and it's tax exempt, so it all helps!

Okay got a bit done yesterday! Got it inside, which makes working on it alot easier, I fitted a new clutch slave cylinder, pipes and hoses, fitted new brakes all round and drove her for the first time! it was rather exciting :X

Are you going to mask up the spark plugs as wel!!!

Coming on nicely!!

MGOC do some good deals on insurance and you don't need to be a member.

We've had a few MGBs over the years, but the one that stood out from the rest was our Damask Red MGBGT V8 - the sound of the engine was amazing - burble burble :(

You couldn't sneak up on anybody with that - I absolutely loved driving it and it made me smile every time I got in it - good times :D

I had one of these, my very first good car 900 quid from Simon Bender in tun Wells some 20 odd years ago.
they are slow, heavy, and its all abit tight in there with the girlfriend, anyways they look good and with a tuned V8 go good!
yours looks great Pete, dont forget the wiring is also from Lucas so get a fire eater :xmas:
