Haha alright alright. I decided against fitting up the panels in the end, and decided to build up the engine bay area instead, and tackle the wiring loom!

I spent about 3 hours just cleaning up the old loom, re-wrapping it in places and fixing any dodgy connections. Refitted it, and it looks considerably better than before! I should have taken a before pic, but it looked terrible!

Also fitted new VIN plate

Heater

Rad, oil cooler and horns
Posted Image

Brake servo
Posted Image

Bonnet catch mechanism
Posted Image

Spunky new air filters
Posted Image

Painted the fan
Posted Image

And all that took me about 1 and a half days! It's kinda slow and tedious rebuilding it, as I'm painting and refurbing bits as I go.

I have yet to paint the engine, and polish the rocker cover, then that should be the engine bay pretty much done!

I was going to fit the headlights, but I remembered they are a bit past thier best before date..

and I forgot to order new buckets and bowls, which I just ordered, so shoulf get it's eyes back in next week  I would have fitted the indicator/sidelights, but they are crappy new lucas ones and one of the bullet connectors fell off, so I decided to call it a day before I started throwing things about :P

Cracking good work as ever, and attention to detail is phenomenomenomenal  :w00t:
Does it seem odd working with all that space in the engine bay?

:w00t: thanks Mr Teapot! Details make all the difference. And yes it did seem a little strange when I started! you could fit a V8 in there! saying that, they did didn't they..

Loving your project :) - we've had a few MGBGTs over the years, my favourite being our Damask red V8 which was my daily drive for a while and everybody knew I'd arrived at work I can tell you - burble burble ;D We never had a webasto sunroof though, so I'm just a tiny tiny bit envious lol

Keep up the good work
