I can't see that they would put a differnt engine in but it may have just been the one I got - think half the problem was the turbo was HUGE as you put your foot down and nothing happened due to massive turbo lag then all of a sudden all hell broke loose >_< then you had to change gear >>_<

oh and the fuel gauge and trip computer had completly differnet ideas as to how much fuel was in the tank which was also different to when the low fuel warning light thought you were low, guess how I found out >_<

Well the boxster is 986, 987. but there's also the carrera GT and the panamera

Think i worked there now bits out now.
they either begin with 9 then 2 more numbers
orrr, have the A sound in the name when you say it.
told you they all had a pattern.

on the wrong engines in cars thing. the desiels in the new civic are actually izuzu engines.

Hitler wanted a peoples car hence the Volks Wagen,German people got stamps in a book to build up to owning a car.
Nothing to do with his army.

First production Turbocharged car was an american car, (think it was a pontiac or an oldsmobile).

First Turbo diesel was a Mercedes.

The TVR Grantura used Mk1 Cortina rear lights.

Porsche 924/944 engine block is based on the VW LT van engine.

All High performance German cars are restricted from the factory to 155mph ( most easily derestricted by removing a fuse).

The only part on the VW Beetle not to have changed in its entire history is the engine cover rubber seal.

Marcos cars were made by Jem Marsh and Frank Costin.

Costin went on to form Cosworth partnering Keith Duckworth.

The Escort Mexico was named after the London to Mexico rally.

The only "car" Isuzu ever sold in the UK was the Piazza.

Diahatsu was the first Japanese manufacturer to sell its cars in the UK.

The Landrover discovery when first produced could be considered a collection of parts from the Austin Rover/Land Rover Parts bin...

Windscreen & frame - Range Rover.

Rear Quarters and lights from an Austin Maestro Van.

Same with the early Lotus Esprit, marina internal doo handles, mini/Austin column switches... I think it had SD1 rear lights too..


Being a small company, they could not afford to produce things like that themselves.

fords 1.25 zetec is actually built by yamaha


Not strictly true...as I heard it anyway....They are Ford engines but they are tuned by Yamaha, and are therefore more powerful than the 1.3 engines offered by Ford!
