I think it was due to the Cobra being driven up the M1 at about 120 mph, that some tramsport minister introduced the 70 mph limit

i thought that was a E type

This is a quote from Wikipiedia.... (I was almost right... :- )

The resulting Cobra was a very powerful roadster, and it is commonly blamed for the introduction of the 70 mph (113 km/h) limit on British motorways. While this was a major factor in the decision, after a coupe version was caught doing 196 mph (315 km/h) during a test run[1], a then-recent spate of accidents under foggy conditions also helped the introduction of the limit.[2]

Sorta... Yeah. Just my random knowledge :-

Ah - one of the constraints for development of the Citroen 2CV's suspension was that it should be able to carry a couple of eggs over an acre without breaking any :)

Lamborghini first started out by designing and building Tractors.
He then Challenged the top sports car makers, Porche etc etc that he could make, as good if not better, sports cars...

And heyho, we now know Lamborghini more for his cars, than we do his tractors.

But didn't it have to carry a basket full of eggs across a bumpy field without any of the eggs breaking?
