In the blitz you already have a cut off gear shift which makes it short, I suspect with the quichift kit on it'll be impossibly short ( unless you retain the std length of the stick ) and then the top of the stick may be uncomfortably high ?

I'll take some more photo's.. As from uncomfortably high, it's not that bad in the position it is now because the seating position is almost led down..

easy take the old one off by removing the 2 pins holding the old one on. then i taped the selector box to take very small bolts and fitted the kad one onto it

Having studied your photo's..and my gearbox being at the rear of the vehicle, won't i have to put the gear stick on the opposite way.. I.e the bend/kink facing the opposite way?

Having now looked at the orginal stick & the KAD..

It's as if the KAD isn't gripping to allow me to select reverse.

Any ideas?

.... When i had to orginal select reverse i had to lift the whole stick up. KAD i have to list up the knod (so to speak)

lol. Will it click into place or is a case of trying to put it in reverse to see if it works?

Sorry for sounding daft.

From how i read your post, you have it fitted, and bolted onto the original housing? if so there is no "lining up" as bebbinator suggests;

If now the only problem is not getting reverse, i had the very same problem with the older stick KAD stick, what you have to do is file the plastic ball down in size a little. You should not need to wack the stick down in position, it should just push in - if you are hititng it in, how are you going to manage to lift it out and around the gate for reverse?

Trial and error, just file little off at a time and test. You should get reverse without the engine running

Ryan.
