I've bought a new ISO plug to connect up my new Clarion Head Unit to the original Rover MPi wiring but the colour coding appears to be all to *male chicken*???

Mini = new ISO Block
Black = black (earth - nice and easy)
Green/White trace = Red (switched feed?)
Purple/Orange trace = Yellow (permanent feed for clock etc?)

What are the other extra ones I have (orange and blue) on the new ISO block and do i need them?

Photos of old and new block if this helps?

i have just wired up my new head unit.

This is what the colour/cables are for.

Aerial / accessory switched power: Blue , so if you have an electric aerial you need to connect this
Dial illumination: Orange, I'm not 100% what to do with this so i just put a bullet connector on and left it disconnected.

You don't need to connect the Blue or Orange.

the blue is the remote wire for an amp so when you turn your stereo on the amp comes on with it instead of it being on constantly, and you dont need the orange one.

You already have an ISO connector, no need to change it, it will plug into your clarion harness. The only time you would need to change it is if the car didn't already have an ISO connector, or if you wanted to add an amp or electric aerial

The speaker half of the ISO connector only has connections for rear speakers (middle 4 missing) and block is in two halves so just thought I'd tidy it up with a new one-piece ISO (as per second photo)?

Ahh right, will you be adding extra speakers

id bin that connector as theyre shab for room id get some inline crimp connetions they cheap and last forever without corrosion
