Is this a non-wood version of the countryman?

(Still fairly new to minis) >_<

It did have wood on it but it was removed as the wood started to rot from the wet. but yu can get non wood versions of the countryman and the traveller. x

I am impressed with this. I think its an amazing rebuild to do and has some history behind it too. Good luck on the rebuild, shall be keeping an eye on it.

Also it doesnt look as bad as i thought it would.

Yeah eventually, although its bloody expensive to buy new bits! so when we have the money really, unless we find some cheap...
Its a long way off putting wood on it though

Hats off to you. Saying you got your work cut out is a slight understatement. Best of luck and keep up the posts. This is my fave to date.

No not yet, there is another project to be finished before we can get bogged down with her. Although, we did recieve our ebay rear door today, looks in nice shape, the door on there was fine when we went to see her at first but as we didnt get to move her the contractors forced the door open causing it to bend ALOT :D
I will be updating this as soon as more gets done :)

Thanks v. much. It will be a large job, as soon as the other engine is off the engine stand we will whack the 850 (the original 1100 that has been put in wont be going back as its not original as of the date of production obvo.) on it and start refurbing that. Progress will be very slow on this as it wont be near us (lack of a drive or garage) until we move which will be late summer hopefully.

It will be alot of cutting and welding photos for a while !
