Would take out the headlining too but I've heard it's a pain to get back on.

Finished stripping it today. The carpet has gone, the bottom half of the dashboard is gone, all the plastic panels are gone and so has the rear parcel shelf. All that's left now is the drivers seat, the top half of the dashboard, the headlining and the speakers.
Gave it a much needed wash as well, might take some photos tomorrow if the weather's like it was today.
Also managed to find some information about the engine, it's a D16Y7.

How is the sound quality of the stereo with no interior? Quite boxy/tinny I'd imagine?

As you can see, I've also removed the side strips and covered the holes with black tape. A lot of the switches are now held on by tape.
The matt black paint seems to be holding up well.
Also got the tracking done today, so it no longer wants to kiss the curb all the time.

So what exactly are your plans with this then?
Are you just gonna pull it apart???
Stripped out most of the interior of the car, to save weight.

it made a noticable difference to all handling aspects of the car but the amount of road noise that the interior plastics and seats and carpets used to cut out was incredible
all i can hear now that i have put it all back together is my water pump eating itself and the occasional pop of flame from the exhaust, instead of every single tiny stone or peice of grit that i drove over.
oh and black civic if you want to improve handling get it off those massive wheels and stick it on some nice lightweight 15`s
then add a front and rear strut brace and lower it on some half decent coilovers then it will handle like its on rails
or alternatavely buy a mk2 crx

looks mint, u want to get a big bore exhaust on that and drop a type r isn't it.
I'll buy a Burberry cap while I'm at it.
I haven't actually found road noise to be much of an issue, it's mainly the lack of a exhaust backbox that makes all the noise.
