just another small update.
cut the 45 deg hoses to fit

they came with 6" 'legs' each side of the bend and i had to cut about 4" of it off haha
now have plenty of clearance between the ITBs and the crossmember

cut a chunk out of the bonnet so it closed properly as i have the engine sitting higher for ground clearance

just bit of the cambelt cover sticking out

as much as i dislike the look of the +90 now, i did find out the mg zt manifold and t25 will fit underneath it

still want to try and get it all under a standard front though whilst n/a, maybe when eventually turbo'd as well if i go custom manifold...
wasn't happy with cage, just adding bits on to link into the rear turrets. looked like a dodgy cut and shut so this happened the other day....

so over the last couple of days, in between rainy showers/monsoons, i've been cutting and notching

got the first piece of the rear X brace taped in as i currently have no gas so can't do any welding

i also cut out the 1 1/2" strengthening/triangulation tubes at the top of the doors and replaced it with 1 1/4" as my chair was hitting them. also made up one of the windscreen gusset tubes. both are also taped in

moving the the rear legs to the suspension turrets also gives me clearance between my seat and the rear X brace so i can move my seat back another 1.5" or so
and this has been the most useful tool i have over the last few days

the cheapest as well as i stole the wood from my dads shed. made working out angles for notching so much easier!
i start my placement job in august so hopefully by end of aug i'll have money to buy parts and a new, more powerful welder (with a larger duty cycle) to weld the cage up with. i'll just tack it for now when i get gas.
cheers
