Looks good, i recognise those 2 miglia cars, that first one was Peter Vickers old car, the other is the ex Endaf Owens car, which is over on turbo minis these days. I have to admit i do look through pictures of miglia racers for ideas too, i love the work that goes into them.

yeah the first one was bought by some one on here (rosco?) called pronext miglia, took a lot of inspiration for my cage from that build. i love endaf owens cars, they are just so clean! that's where i got the idea for the curved inner wings and completely box crossmember.

Yes ross (rosco454) had it for a while but sadly had to sell it. And i did recognise your door bar set up from that car, its an interesting way of doing it, i like it.

And i can vouch for that with endafs cars, i have seen them in the flesh and his work is fantastic, i plan to do something similar with my inner wings as per one of his cars. If you want to see some more pictures of the details of his cars i have some, i just haven't posted them as im not sure if that would be ok?

when im done getting my shell sorted i will be doing some more mods like the miglia cars, like the cage and bulkhead and stuff.

Anyways keep up the good work.

George

i may be after a few pics of the owens cars at some point if you don't mind mate. most likely of the anti roll bar fittings/mounts and rear subframe mounts if they're changed to solid mounts.

there's some bits on the car i'm still not happy with and want to change/redo at some point when i have the tool and time/money.

been looking at pedal boxes more and i think it's going to easier to pay through the nose for wilwood/tilton reverse pedal box then to try and get custom parts made for my own design, which may end up just as expensive in the end

been looking at these ones as i can't find any production reversed floor mounted other than the ap and tarox ones which are stupidly expensive!

i'm not entirely sure which pedal ratio to go for, or size m/c's for brakes either

Yeah i have lots of the shells, and various mods but nothing of the anti roll bar or rear sub.

Heres a link to a threar on ARB's on TM, it has a pic of Jimsters racer with one of Endafs ARB's fitted, it might help you out. http://www.turbomini...p=vt&tid=180175

Pedal box's dont looks over expensive, but why can't you use the standard mini one?

cheers mate, i'll have a look at that later

unfortunately theres a set of suzuki ITBs and pulsar GT-R plenum sitting (old photo before i got the plenum) where the m/c's should go so have to move them inside which means i need acustom or aftermarket pedal box

Ahh i see, what a pain. As a potentially easier solution how abut a floor mounted pedal box, as per the 2 migs you posted?

i am leaning towards floor mounted but depends on positioning as all the ones i can afford have the m/c's sitting behind the pedal box. if the pedals sit too close to the seat may give an uncomfortable driving position. will need to do some measurements when i'm next home

done some measurements over the weekend and theres no way to comfortably fit a normal push type floor mounted pedal box in so i've narrowed it down to 2 over hung type

just need to try and sell my one now to rasie the funds for shopping...

the tilton gets my vote personally, although remmeber they wont come with masters so you'll have to add those into the budget.

looking really good though, loving the stance on the wellers

yeah i'm leaning towards the tilton as well. i would love the tilton 76 series m/c's but at £100 each i think i'll have to stick to the wilwood ones, less than 1/3 the price!

cheers. think i'm going to have to lift it a bit to get ground clearance for the exhaust when i fit it. i think currently its around the same height, or a bit lower, than a miglia haha

yeah tilton masters are expensive, one of the reasons i went for a OBP pedal box as it came with masters (although i got the wrong sizes *facepalm*)

is this going to be a road going track toy? if so its probably a good idea to raise the back a little haha.
mine will run around as low as yours is now but ive made extensive mods to raise the exhaust and gear linkage.

i think i'vew worked out cylinder sizes i need but won't know for definite until i have it up and running.

yeah hopefully it will be on the road, depends what happens when i change the v5 for the engine transplant. if they say it needs an IVA it will be track only but can always hope.
the gear linkage is all internal so thats not a problem luckily. i'm going to try and get the exhaust back boxes sitting up inside the subframe if i can for a bit more ground clearance. having a fg boot floor so may modify that so the back boxes can sit partially into the boot, like on bill sollis' old miglia
