Hi need some help in deciding on a roll cage because after crashing my mini, my parents want me to have a roll cage in the new one.

I dont want to pay loads but i want one that's going to keep me safe.

Which one do think i should go for.

People say that its only safer with a roll cage if you have proper bucket seats, harnesses, padding and a helmet - If you just have the cage you could end up doing more damage if you tw@t your head on it.
Thats just what Ive heard though!

EDIT: I remember quite a few people having problems with Geronimo cages

Good luck!

if your rents want you to have it make them buy it for you and pay for the fitment :)
just pretend that you dont want one (but dont be too convincing)

I have a safety devices roll cage in my mini (Minisport sell them) and it seems pretty good quality to me! You can get them in a variety of types depending what you are after

But, as MGMT said, you really should look at proper padding for it at the same time, even just "moving about" in the car, if you catch it with your head it really does hurt! If you had a crash at any speed it's virtually the same as being hit in the head with a scaffold pole in my eyes..

And for the increase in your insurance premium .... thats assuming your company will entertain the notion.

hi, both of the cages are more what i call "show cages" meaning that they wont much, i have been to the Huddersfield mini centre and even he said that it is more of a show cage. i have done quite a lot of research into them and found that safety devices cage in mine. it is a good solid cage and it is F.I.A approved.

but i depends on what you want. im not saying that the others will not do anything in a crash but i have crashed in one i had an it was nasty an the cage helped me to say the least, i think spending on safety i a good investment. check my new safety devices cage out:

hope this helps

Just re-read that, does sound a bit strange :(

Insurance wise, mine cost me something like £8 for harnesses and the safety devices rollcage! I'm only 20 which i think was still unusually cheap!
