Its not by any means an easy panel to replace, and it helps if you have to do the outer sills aswell.

It is spot welded to the seat base, both outer sills, the floor, and the inner sills

Is the car your working on a bare shell as that would help. If you replace one end you could potentially skew the wheel alignment out and the car will end up 'crabbing' down the road.

What would you like pics of? i'll find some if you want, or i can take some.

the car has doors on and the engine is fitted,i think thats about it.has no seats exhaust but it is a rolling shell so the subframe shocks wheels ect are still there.

as much pics as poss please

im just wondering where all the welds are and where to cut it and how to align it all up again before welding (so it dosent crab).

i will be changing the whole panel,i think its better than just changing bits of it.
thanks for your time

Ive not done that panel before, but just dont do any cutting untill you have got the panel. then when you have got it you will be able to see how it attachs and where to weld.

when i helped my mate do his we replaced the whole panel but did it in two halves.

We did each half with the mini on its side welded them in place and then welded them back to each other again.

take measurements from a datum somewhere so when you clamp the new panel in place you can refer back to them.

It was easier at the time as we replaced half the floor aswell and wanted to completely finish one side before we turned it over.
