You will find classic mini ads in Modern Mini Mag because Mini Speed, Mini Sport, Mini Spares all advertise in there and they advertise both sets of things.

I generally leave the Mini mags alone and try and cover all the Ford ones with Mini ones :)

thank you!! someone sane!!!
thats it we should all stick together..... that sounds realllly, best not say gay....... nafff ok i'll go with naff!!!
with the size of the new mini we could push everything eccept rolls royce's outta our way!!!!!

I could be wrong but it might be to do with the over aggresive way in which BMW "protected" the brand which it had bought.
Some companies who had been using the name were forced to change company name or risk being sued which I think is
a bit harsh. I dont think Huddersfield Mini Spares were ever trying to dupe people into thinking they had a link to BMW or
the products they were selling were official BMW items but they were still threatened with legal action and had to change their business name.
There were more but that is the most recent one that I can remember.
None of which detracts from a well built fun car , so dont start using too much punctuation and getting all upset.
Cheers
Chris

Back to the original topic, to be honest I find it quite useful having bini adverts, as if I bought the magazine, being a classic owner, had a quick peruse of the ads and spotted something interesting or useful for a bini, I would tell my mum, who, if I hadn't found it, wouldn't even know this hypothetical item existed and thus would never be able to own it... does that make sense?

Plus, they're ADVERTS! That's like getting mad that chat up lines for ladies are advertised in the back of PS3 mags, or those phone downloads or whatever.

i own both cars so its good that parts are advertised for both especially because the new mini magazine isnt worth the paper its writen on so i only get the old mag infact i dont know why the mags dont merge and have half for new minis half for classic minis kill 2 birds with one stone efectively

does the Bini stuff appear alongside proper Mini stuff in the same ad? It could just be the company as paid a graphic designer to produce the one ad that they use in all publications. You can always just look at the prices of the Bini stuff and content yourself with a smug grin.

At least it's only adverts for the BINI that are in the magazines now. A few years ago they used to have articles on BINIs in Mini World. Fortunately they have now realised that most Mini owners are not interested in BINIs, and most BINI owners are not interested in Minis and so have introuduced a separate magazine instead.

Yeah I think it's best that they have separate mags as well because most people tend to prefer one over the other and not necessarily want to read about both - or not pay £4 to read half a magazine! :)

everyone has there opinions but i think that adverts mean nothing other than to sell products so what difference does it make and there will always be something to moan about because so many people like the old mini's and some (weird)people like the bini's its still a mini even if we dont like it so we will just have to put up with it and if they didn't put advertise both mini's the in there the bini owners or people who have one of each then the would have to buy 1 magazine per car and at 4 quid a go it aint cheap

(sorry if i sounded proper moody lol just my opinion)

nah i'm not getting upset it seems you lot are the upset one's over something that really to be honest doesn't consern you??? it's not like you own huddersfield mini spares..... or do you???

so the fact that these companies wont let them use the name, really, shouldn't make you get all stress headed!!!!!!

and as i dont get charged by the charactor i shall continue to use as much 'puntuation' as i feel i want to, mwah!!!!

i think they had some sort of vote for that one and that is why they stopped it!!!

nooooo because that means people like me have to spend £8.50+ :o

they should just double the size of the mag and do it so one side is upside down, so half way through you know your stepping to the other side, so you can stop/ or read it become impressed then get a MINI aswell.

+ it would let some people with MINI'S see what there car is designed from, fall in love then more people will get them instead of corsa's clios etc!!!
