Also got another of the wheels cleaned up and painted, will have to get the tyres off the others before I can do anymore.
Might also have to pick up another wire brush attachment for the grinder, it started to get a bit violent towards the end.

I removed the headlamps, grill and other trim from the front and placed it up on the workbench so I could weld on my little bits of tube for the pivot bots for the hinges and to do a bit of grinding on the welds etc.
Only the front end decided it didn’t want to stay on the workbench for long and hit the deck. The result is a nice section of the front splitter I’d been working on has snapped clean off.
So I’ve now got to work out a way of seamlessly repairing it so it don’t crack the filler or fall off later down the line.
I’ve also now decided that now I’ve tacked the tubes for the bolts to the hinges, that they look a little weedy. So have now come up with the idea of maybe using the mounting from an old pair of dampers with the rubber bushes and inserts.
So hopefully buy using those they won’t look so lost with the 1” tube I’ve used for the hinges and the bushes should take up any misalignments in the hinges.
Just need to find a really scabby pair of dampers now so I can chop the mountings off them.

Unfortunately i haven't got any picks at the mo as my cameras is dead, well it's eating fully charged batteries in 5 minuets flat. So don't know if it's the camera, batteries or the charger thats had it. Oh and my phone is crap inside with artificial light, but I’m working on them.

Firstly the fiesta brakes on mini hubs
The twist on a mk1 boot lid almost done
A little trick i came up with for finishing the front valance tear drop mounting holes. Basically fill area, insert golf ball, find a way of holding it in place and one the filler has gone off it leaves the perfect imprint
One of the pair of seats i picked up, I’ll be recovering them soon once i found what I’m going to recover them in and possibly changing the design slightly as well.
And in order to mount the seats in the mini, after some head scratching a basic frame I’ve made a start on and just need to fully weld up and drill.
The torpedo mirrors I won off e-bay, unfortunately the chrome works wasn’t as good as I’d hoped, so I’ve decided to paint them instead and have quickly sprayed one up to get an idea. I’ve also welded some nuts into the door and used some short bolts to mount them to the door so they really are solid.
And a few general ones
