I think I’ve sussed where i went wrong though, not soaking the fiberglass enough in resin, so ended up with dry patches.

I've sanded down the passenger side as best i can, doesn't look too bad, but it was too cold for me today laying on the floor in a draft sanding.

Normally it wouldn’t have bothered me and I would have just got on with it, but I’m just not up to it today, woke up with a cracking headache and feeing bunged up Lol.

Oh well at least I’ve got one half done.

Think I might have a shower, print out some picks and go back to bed and do some sketches.

Well i woke this morning with a bit of a cold like symptoms, so didn’t get as much done, as I would have liked. But that didn’t stop me from sanding down the splitter and giving it a second fill.

I’ve also made a mould of my mk1 boot for something else I have planed. It could work, but all will be revealed in time.

Thanks, If you want to scare your self have a look at how much they are each from mini sport, there Lucas P700's.
Glad I only paid just over half that for the pair lol.

The splitter/spolier isn't too bad, just a few spots the fillers missed and then it's just getting the shape nice and even all the way along.

Some picky of recent progress.

The front spoiler.

And I’ve recently collected some 10” wheels that need a bit of work, just need to find some smaller front brakes as I’m not grinding the metro 4 pots down or running stupid spacers.

With one fitted to the front, also at the same ride hight settings as on the 12's

After a bit of work with the grinder and wire wheel attachment and a bit of paint, this is what one now looks like, just have to do the same to the other 4.

If that wasn’t enough a bit of a side project I’m working for a possible new boot.
