hey guys, i dont know if anyone else has thought this but a few years ago i purchased a full set of carpets from newton comercial.
As usual with newton they were very high quality.
For my new build i ordered the same carpets as i was very impressed with them last time.
Only i noticed that on the first set had a lovely thick backing that was sort of a felt, the new set however only has like a foam backing. I could be wrong but this doesn't look like it would wear as well nor does it look as if it would provide as much sound insulation.
I have E-mailed them regarding this a few weeks back but have not yet had a reply. With my previous ones i had no quarms but the new ones i am considering putting in additional sound deadening.

I fitted the same trim in a family members car a couple of months ago, and Ive got to say I was dissapointed with it. Foam backed and loop pile. Not really what i was expecting at almost £140.

I will be buying from elsewhere in the future.

yeah kind of wish i had gone elsewhere now, its a shame when someone has a product that is spot on and then changes it to prsumably cut costs. This sort of thing can damage their buisness.
