Hello

I have acquired a old metal Cooper badge the type that comes with two 'pins' on the back that sit inside the pre drilled holes on the boot. I don't really want to drill anymore holes in my car so just wanted to know what other people have used to stick various badges to their cars?

I really wanted some of the modern style adhesive stick pad, foam, spongey stuff that most badges are stuck on with these days but I don't know what its called

anyhelp would be greatly appreciated

Rob

I used some adhesive backed sticky foam that I found in Halfords. It comes on a roll. Can't remember what it's called but they have it in the section with all the other glues and tapes.

Tape for sticking on trim is called trim tape. Funny that.

yep, halfords have them in little strips as well, for sticking number-plates on, i used them to put the electronics in my RC car and the computer on my bike.

you will find them with the little packs of screws, fuses etc.

Thanks guys, I will probably buy some but I wanted to ask because the cooper script badge is quite heavy (relative to size obviously) and its surface area for sticking is very slim plus cost me a tenner so don't want to find out that its dropped off!

Cheers

Proper trim tape is very strong stuff. It's black so it won't show behind the badge and has very good 3M adhesives. Numberplate strips aren't as strong and are white. Cutting it to fit the badge will be tricky and fiddly though. Make sure you clean the panel and the badge with alcohol before using the tape.
