its a reprogramable ignition and fuel ecu, never see one on a mini, cant see why it cant go on a carb mini provided its fitted with the right sensors/coil/throtal body(s) and injectors, it might be able to go on an spi and use a lot of the exsisting injection parts, mpi know idea.

has anyone see it on a mini

i'm sure they had some issues running Mega Squirt on minis due to fueling via the Siamese ports, have a look on the MS forum you might find some more info on it

i am running megasquirt since years with the A-Series.
you can make it work with nearly all throttle body injection parts without major trouble. the easiest is to use Rover SPi parts as they allready fit the engine. building a MPi system like the late Rover system is much more complicated due to fueling issues

late Rover = MPi
and yes Rover did some tricks to make a port injection (=MPi) running well

what parts would i need from the rover SPi??
with an SPi engine do you have to change the carb, because im looking to do a 998cc turbo conversion
where i need the carb and manifold from a metro turbo for it to work. could i change this to SPi or am
i barking up the wrong tree?? :P

cheers! :P

i use the complete SPi inlet manifold and throttle body set up, and a SPi fuel tank with my 998ccm SPi engine. some pics can be found here http://www.flickr.co...otos/mini_klas/
and i have seen some builds where the turbo is blowing into the SPi throttle body, so i think it is possible
