30 minutes of Ring time is confirmed which if you are swift accounts for 3 laps or if you are ringmini 3.5885167 laps....

to be honest I wouldn't have done it any other way for the first time. It was such an amazing epxerience going with TMF and the members of RetroCarClub this year.
That's not to say that SRR wouldn't have been a similar experience.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that there are many benefits to going with a club event such as SRR or BH2N.

Grimmy - Your insurance will cover you third party should you punt someone off, however i believe it "may" cover you still for damage to the Armco etc but not for damage to your car. All cars are covered 3rd party on the ring UNLESS specifically stated as a clause in your policy, as it is a public toll road with speed limits.
If your policy document does not mention the Ring specifically then you are covered. However DO NOT call them to check if it is not on there you can exploit the loophole. If you call them all you will do is get the clause inserted in your policy and also make the company include it too.
At the end of the day the Ring runs on BIG BOYS RULES, you break it, you get punted off, you have a talent/fail armco interface issue, it WILL cost and if you dont have the funds to pay for it take each lap slowly and carefully ensuring you check your mirrors at all times, keep to right, indicate when you see someone behind to let them know its ok to pass (basic sensible road craft and manners are important here so use them!!), make sure your car is in good condition (ie not "religous" or with James Bond style smoke screen) and not leaking fluids (ie oil, coolant, petrol - you know who you are...).
Remember it is not a race, completing a lap well will bring speed, and with speed lap times will fall, with speed though risk increases and hence forth you increase you chances of a talent/fail/armco interface issue.....

what goes on...well you'll probably get plenty of brutal manlove from the police and everyone else you owe money to.

I think thats something you want to worry about when you get there, and with that outlook i wouldnt even go on the ring!!
I think what you mean is that's something you worry about when you have had your talent/fail/armco interface issue.
The brutal manlove from everyone effected, i would imagine to be extremely clean and efficent knowing the germans....
