As far as im aware SRR includes;

Ferry
Camping
2 nights in Hotel
Run pack
and possibly laps at tracks.

Which is exactly what bh2nRetro includes (except laps)

£285 for one person in a car, (£315 for 2 people one car) or under £250 with bh2nRetro (price tbc for 09) I know which ill be going on.

Just to add, we don't include a lap of the 'Ring as we can't guarantee we'll be allowed a parade lap. I'm fairly certain this is the same for anyone, unless they hire out the 'Ring which costs thousands. A couple of years ago we were allowed to do parade laps of Brands before we left which was all included in the price of our run, we weren't able to do that this year because of noise restrictions in place before 9am at Brands.

The BH2N Retro Run was £200 this year, which included all that Pie has listed. Due to the really weak pound I'm not confident we'll be able to stay at that price this year, but we should have a price and definite dates set in January.

Just try try and put an end to any rivalry before it appears both SRR and BH2N are great runs, with the people attending both reporting they've had a great time. SRR tends to go July/early Aug time, where as we'll be moving back to end of August/early Sept time. The benefit of that we find is that it is not as busy at the track, but the weather isn't as guaranteed to be nice as July/Aug (but we've only had one year in Sept when we've had a significant amount of rain). Unfortunately due to the timing of our run some people involved with school/uni may not be able to attend, but wait until we release official dates. Of course the cost of our run may suit those people on a strict budget a little better to.

Yup, that's not a problem, we've had people come from all over Europe before, and if needed they've just paid for t-shirts and/or run packs, and then paid for camping separately.

Posts removed. If you want to know why read this post - http://www.theminifo...x...t&p=1254924

Price, hoping to keep it as close to this years £200 as possible, though I think an increase will have to happen to take into account the weak pound. Two nights in the hotel this year cost us about £75, going on todays exchange rate it will cost £87. In the same way, this years cost for the camping was about £50, next year there will no doubt be another Euro increase per day, and with the todays exchange rate that will cost us £65! Not to mention the ferry, with Speedferries gone (they were a big factor in low prices) I can see the two remaining ferry companies putting prices up next year. Maybe the exchange rate will start to pick up early next year, or at least stop falling, but we just haven't got enough lee-way in the price of the run to absorb those sort of increases in cost.

thats fair enough.

would probably work out about the same taking into account the fuel prices if you look at the whole cost.
looking forward to it.

bit of a question. my mate is very interested in going and it only makes sense for him to come along with me/us.
any restrictions on the cars?

I'm actually a wee bit scared to do this, I don't know why.

Can I come too?? I know I can be annoying at the best of times but I can be nice and fun too!! Gexx will tell you ;D

Is it limited to a certain amount of places and will it be first come first serve?

Grimmy - As long as the cars retro, should be ok. Last year we had mk1 golfs, minis, mk1 cav, renault5 Gordini turbo RX7 etc etc

Guywithvan - in 2006 i went in my 998 and it was awesome. In the past there has been the odd 850 and auto joining us.
