But the rarest and the best of all has to be the Broadspeed GT

id say either between the prototype, the first production mini or the 1millionth mini

It's not the 1 millionth! There are two of those. In Mini Mag this month, apparently there is a possibility that the car that has been masquearding as the 1 millionth isn't, and it is in a fact a red Morris. Investigation on-going, but this red one has turned up in the Netherlands apparently with evidence to suggest it really is the 1 millionth. We shall see.

Not sure if a one off can be rare in the true sense of the word ! . Surely it must a production run and gradually over time they are dismantled, crashed beyond repair .......rust out . When a car is altered from the manufacturers spec it is unique but can not be called rare in my opinion.

Unfortunately you're all so right.

I'd say the 1961/62 Mini Super is pretty rare as those that did survive the ravages of time got turned into Coopers or were ripped apart to restore a Cooper since the Mini Super shared the same trim levels.

But some Mini Limited Editions must be getting pretty rare now, like say the 1976 Mini 1000 LE with the stripy trim?

Broadspeed made a total of 21 GTs in 1965.

Here' another example spotted at the IMM in 2009
