To everyone asking about website problems of this nature,

There's server maintenance and moving going on. There will be disruptions. No doubt an Admin member will start a thread once everything is fixed explaining this.
until then there's nothing anyone can do.

It's fixed when it's fixed. And no amount of new threads started asking 'where have the uploads and avatars gone' will fix it any sooner

I've noticed if you "reload" your avater, it comes back...

Or at least, when i changed mine to a Christmasy one.. it works on Firefox 3 and IE7
