you might have lifted a cam follower up when you removed the pushrods, what engine is it on?

did you jiggle the rods about before you lifted them out or just yoink them straight out.

In his thing it says 850, you would have to get in the tappet chest at the back of the engine to put the follower back in? I think thats right.

When I took my 998 engine apart, I found 2 followers had fallen out, luckily I was rebuilding the engine anyway.

open one of the little tapet covers on the back of the engine for a look

the wiggling of the push rods is not to help remove them but to make sure the cam followers drop down off the push rod

No I was saying it was lucky I ws rebuiling it as I wouldn't have found them, its a simple fix like Bungle said, no need to worry, just makes changing the head gasket a bit longer lol.

All it is, is like a little cup thing you just need to put it back in the hole, open side up, simple.
