I have just purchased a whole new RC40 system with a manifold manifold. I went for the side exit, 2.25 inch rolled tip (millenium edition) And I am very pleased with the results. Looks brilliant, And sounds equally as amazing.
In my opinion, I would go for a side exit. I have also heard sie exit gives a better balanced air flow? Someone may need to confirm that.
Hope this helps.
