i have to remove vinyl everyday being a signwriter. You shouldn't have to heat it, just get a sharp scalpel under it to lift the edge up so you can peal the rest off - if you're really struggling then use a heat gun.
to get rid of the residue left, use tar and bug remover and clean with water afterwards.

you should also know its a curved window and could scratch from a bladebut blades are fine on flat windows
