hair dryer to peel them off and then petrol to remove the excess

What he said. Wash the petrol off after though. I wouldn't use a blade...

i have to remove vinyl everyday being a signwriter. You shouldn't have to heat it, just get a sharp scalpel under it to lift the edge up so you can peal the rest off - if you're really struggling then use a heat gun.

to get rid of the residue left, use tar and bug remover and clean with water afterwards.

you should also know its a curved window and could scratch from a blade :P but blades are fine on flat windows

what the hell. don't know if you dig the blade in or use the tip maybe :S ??

just glide the side of a surgical blade along the glass to lift the edge of the vinyl and you won't get a scratch, ever!

maybe you're using a sharp spoon or something if your scratching such a small curve of glass pmsl
