I think anyone who states LH is all hype and isn't as good as people say he is have either not been watching the races in which he's pulled off some brilliant overtaking manoeuvres (and missed Silverstone when he led in the rain and lapped all but 2nd and 3rd), or just doesn't know much about F1, and how hard it is to actually drive one of those cars to begin with.

Lewis Hamilton is a remarkable chap! Watched the race yesterday with the old man, jumped up and down at the end of the race, was the first time i hugged him in aaaages! Although, he nearly broke the 3 second rule!!!
I'm so happy for the lad, really was gutted for Massa's family though, and i think he took it very well.
Made me laugh all the commentators, "i know itv are supposed to be un-biased, but i think we all want Lewis to win!"..."I'm not supposed to be standing in the pit lane but it's the last show and i don't care!"
With regards to Glock, It's up to him, as long as the team didn't tell him to let Hamilton through then he's done nothing wrong.
He can argue that he didn't feel safe driving fast.
There's nothing anyone can do about it.
Fair play to vettel though! He's getting himself noticed.
As far as I'm concerned, he won the championship with that brilliant drive at Silverstone!
May have been posted already, but what channel is F1 going to be on next year?
Bring on the slicks!!

Edit: Bring on the BBC...Should be great but will miss Brundle! Bring back Murray Walker!!!

Fantastic drive by Massa, but people seem to think that the last race decided the whole championship...there were loads of race before that, and as most of the other drivers recognised, Hamilton was the best driver over the season, if he wasn't then he wouldn't have won!

That clip of the Ferrari team is hilarious but it does look like Massa Snr is about to have a heart attack when he gets the tap on the shoulder to say he didn't get it!

Next year will be very interesting, did itv say it's the biggest technical shake up for 20 years or something?

As much as I'm a huge fan of Lewis and over the moon that he's finally done it, that moment when Massa's family realised he hadn't won was just heartbreaking.... I wouldn't wish that rollercoaster of emotions on anyone- so in my eyes definitely not funny. Massa was devastated, as apparently he had also been told he'd done it as he crossed the line.... absolutely gutting!!

I used to be a staunch fan of Kimi Raikkonen (and still have a soft spot for him), so to all the Ferrari fans out there taking offence at our 'blatant band wagon jumping'- it's nonsense!! I support people I admire for their driving ability.... Kimi has disappointed me in recent years, and recently Lewis has impressed me more.... simple as that!

Bring on next season...... :D

massa must have been royally fuddled off! crosses the line and is on top of the world, few seconds later he is knocked back down! and too see his dad jumping around, being proud of his son, then being told he wasnt champion...heartbraking...poor bloke and poor massa.

also congratulations too lewis, although i think he played it wrong and should have pushed ever so slightly harder so if he got overtook, it wasnt the end of the world.

I missed the race as I was driving but stayed up to watch the hilights (hence why I'm so tired in work).

I really wish I had seen it live now, what a race!

Well done to Lewis what a driver!

Really don't understand all the people that say they "hate" him, hate??? really? Honestly what a joke.

I really like the way he has his brother and dad there must be great having support like that.

Really looking forward to next season.

That's about the only part of the coverage that I saw, but God it made me laugh! :D

I missed just about all of the race to be honest, all but the last lap. Thought he'd given it away, saw him take 5th, laughed at the Ferarri garage, turned the telly back off because we had guests, drank some more beer!

There's no doubt that Lewis is a great driver, he'll be winning for years to come, a natural, i just think he's a bit 'wet', when he has a cracking race i think he needs to take the credit a bit more for himself, maybe brag a bit more so as to wind the pit lane up a little, i'm maybe being a little hard on him but he's probably gonna walk away with the Sports 'Personality' of the Year so it would be a nice suprise if he showed he had a personality...remember Hunt, Rosberg Snr, young Shuey, Irvine and the greatest modern F1 driver of all time...Senna, all had something other than driving ability about them.

I dare Lewis to be honest and say 'i'm better than the rest, thats why i won' then walk off laughing to himself with his F1 crown and a pint!!

ps, nice season though Lewis Hamilton

I just don't understand why people are so down on him.....we have the first British Champion for 12 years....even if you don't like him as a person, you can't deny he was the best driver this year.

He made many mistakes, but remember he's only 23...he learnt from his mistakes and made them into positives, only by doing that was he able to win the championship!

I'm really not trying to take anything away from Massa at all, he's a fantastic driver and probably deserved to win as much as Hamilton did, but I suppose it's just a bit of a patriotic thing.....a British driver driving for a (prodominantly) British team winning the WDC...that doesn't happen very often
