Nah, i mean the standard rev counter, on the right of the three clock binnacle.

If it's the same as mine was, it'll have a bullet connector and a spade connector going into the back of it. I THINK the spade was just a 12v live, and run the tach out to the bullet connector.

Ohhhhhhhhh, that broke years ago.

Co, so you've eventually got the laptop to communicate with it.

Did you create the map yourself or modify one of the ones from the autosport labs forum? Also, when you get the hard cut limiter sorted, try setting it at 3k rpm and give it some throttle, mine spits huge flames out :-

I tried the one you where using, but found another one that seemed to pull a bit harder for me.

I then modified it a little as there was almost like a step going through the rev range, it was almost like hitting vtec :)

Also adjusted the crank sensor offset as I think it was a couple of degrees out. Yeah im looking to be able to shoot some flames out of the back, everyone knows the best cars catch fire :D :P :ermm: :D

Just curious, I plan on running the dual map system, does the rev limit change with this? or is it flashed to the ECU and stick at the certain RPM.
I want to be able to flick the switch and slam the throttle and have flame mode :D just to show off realy.

To be honest mate, I haven't looked into a dual map system so wouldn't know about the rev limit, you'd probably be better off asking on the autosport labs forum.

Thanks alot.

Just to let people know, the soft limiter is working well, it's like driving into a marshmellow at 6k rpm. I've got quite a bit of uni work on this week. (writing an essay atm due in tomorrow  ;) )

Once I get a spare 2 minutes I'll run the wire from the ECU, to the coil and get the hard limiter working, and once I get a new rev counter, I'll get a shift light mounted in it.

Oh and some of my turbo fuel lines have arrived and i've bought a new head to be modified for turbo use.......................Nearly there now!

Rev limit does change with the dual map switch Ben, which kinda makes sense. You can always set them both the same. I had mine set to about 7k on the proper map and about 5k on the backup map incase i went crazy and added 50° too much advance!

Megajolt isn't seeing a PIP signal from EDIS, so it's stuck in EDIS limp mode.

Can't really help you there, as I've completely forgotten how MJ actually works :D. At least it still runs on limp mode, so its not a VR sensor issue. Maybe something to do with EDIS itself? Although they are pretty reliable. All connections are good and shielded?

Everything connected very well, quite proud of it. There is a signal at the connector to the megajolt, it's just the megajolt itself can't see it. Oh and it smells like burnt electrics. So I think it's dead, still running smoothly in limp mode, just a bit down on power.

I've tried a new EDIS, but the signal is being put out quite well, so it's something wrong with the megajolt itself.

I can't remember now, but did you build it yourself, or was it ready to run?. If its crapped itself, how do you stand on sending it back?.
