Now I know how much everyone likes pictures, and I've just been waffling on for a while, so I thought I'd update a bit.

I've got loads of pictures from the trackday, but I'll only put a few up.

Oh yeah, I've told loads of people to make sure they take out the dizzy drive after removing the dizzy. The day before the trackday, I fitted the plug and put the car on the street. Saturday morning I started the car, and then it went bang! and cut out. I knew excactly what it was, and fitting a bolt into the end and yanking the car back and forth using the mole grips on the bolt meant it finally came out. Im assuming the cam looks the same as this aswell.

Woops :)

Ben

LOL, I must remember too, epic track day pictures!
got a few questions about your megajolt... lol Not sure if they're somewhere in your thread but it's that big I'd be a hour trying to find the answers lol
Where did you get your leads and coil back bracket from?

Leads are just standard fiesta ones, I bought them second hand, but still new from APbellamy off turbo minis.

My friend made the coil bracket for me while I was wiring.

Lucky it didn't do more damage to the cam!. MJ install looks pretty sweet. Are you wiring in dual map switch, shift lights etc?

I will be, just can't get my megajolt to talk to my laptop. It won't let me install a driver for some reason, my old laptop did :)

If I can get some parts, im going to have my megajolt controlling a few things.

It might include an electronic bleed valve and things like that. I havn't even had a chance to test my rev limiter :)

I am yeah, just not fitted 1 wire, because I couldn't program it, and don't know where or if the limit is set at the moment.

Cheers mate.

My laptop now communicates with megajolt. Altered the map, and it's alot revier now, still got more improvments to be made I think, but it's running well now.

Stupid windows 7, sees anything to do with serial adaptors as something called a mindwave adaptor. Un-installing this and loading some drivers from the internet got it working.

So, I can finish the last bits of the install and get the rev limit, shift lights and everything else fitted.

I did a datalog on a short run, and as my rev counter has fellen apart i've had no idea what I've been revving it too. Looks to be around 6k RPM. It tends to tail off a bit on the power there, so when I fit my bigger carb, I might get a bit more revs/power.

Try the 'Tach out' wire on the MJ, that's what i use to drive my rev counter.

Cheers for that, but I don't think any amount of wiring is going to make it work.

Nah, i mean the standard rev counter, on the right of the three clock binnacle.

If it's the same as mine was, it'll have a bullet connector and a spade connector going into the back of it. I THINK the spade was just a 12v live, and run the tach out to the bullet connector.
