Also very very true!!!!. Used to give my old 998 so much abuse and it didn't care. Then the rings went. A hone and a set of rings would have seen many more miles of 7000+rpm. In hindsight I should have done that!!

To be fair, I bought this engine for £50, thrash it all day (from cold) on asda cheap as chips oil, it's done a track day, and yet to let me down, doesn't even leak oil.
The carb sticks occasionaly but that's not then engines fault.
It's so good, im going to take it out as is and put it in the workshop with all ancilaries for the next time the 1380 blows.
I've just spent the last of my student loan on megajolt and associated parts and will be going down the scrappy on the weekend to get the coilpack and sensor.
That should be it then. Very excited!!!!!
1380 build on the weekend and waiting on my ecu from america for the Megajolt!

Forgot about that comment.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! going from 1380 too 998 added nearly 10 seconds to my 0-60!!!!!
MAP is probably the best option anyways

Cheers mate, I'll let you know if I need any, where did you get yours?
Probably not going to see any 1380 building this weekend, I can't be bothered to go home!
The car is only doing 50 odd miles a week at the moment, so im in no rush, i've got to get the centre main machined anyway. Although my megajolt bits and bobs started arriving.
