Just priced up the parts I need for the rebuild.

£161

The 998 now has the 1380s gearbox with turbo diff, and the 1380 drop gears and housing. No knocking.

So that knocking was the engine and not the transmision.

The 998 is running better now as the manifold wasnt correctly alligned so now it runs much better, but the diff seems a bit long for it.
