HARBER07 style drilled door hinges? Seat mounts, pad areas of pedals, steering column, rear seat post, lighten ignition barrel, handbrake, handbrake quadrants, cut off all un-used brackets

etc. etc. etc.

clutch cover whilst the engines out...
rear valance...
outer of the steering column...

maybe some "cooling" holes in the bonnet???

personally i'd move the battery inder the back seat and cut the battery box out and weld it up with sheet...

ive seen some people drill the cross member but it seems a tad dodgy:/

Don't think he wanted to drill anything "permanent". I'd leave the battery where it is and drill the crap out of the box though, don't fancy hydrogen gas floating around next me me :D

I'll drill things permenant as long as it won't completly change the car.

SO I don't want to cut out the rear bins as that means I can never have a back seat again.
Although I could hole saw the crap outa them but still fit a seat in the future.

I'll wait for my new hole saws and do:

Font/rear valance
bumpers
bins
rear seat
crossmember
inner door/boot skin
interior skins

Idler gear is now within tolerance. Wasn't that bad anyway.

So will inspect the flywheel again tomorrow to see if that's what was making the knocking noise.
If that's ok then it will go back in and see if it was the idler that was making noise, I doubt it though as it was only 0.003" out, at 0.010". Now at 0.005".

I need some new balljoints, so then I can fit my metro hubs/brakes.

Car has been off the road for weeks all because of a weird knocking noise.
Even after checking absolutly everything, it's still doing it!.

It sounded like it before but worse and the noise went away when pressing the clutch, the primary gear was knackered, so It's had new drop gears. I havn't connected the clutch yet so will try that, but can't imagine it's the drop gears. I've had the DTI gauge on them and there all perfect now. I will fit the slave back on and try it.

Just bolted the slave on, and yes the noise goes when depressing the clutch.
