turn it up til it blows a hole, turn it down a little bit, then pulse. Dont try continuous, puts too much heat into it and can warp. Good idea welding those though, this happened to mine when i put the 1430 in it:

Thanks for that mate, still learning.
Yeah the engine was finished a few months ago, and had loads of problems trying to get it to stay still in the mounts.
Got some poly bushes for the standard steady to go on, will do that when I do the head gasket.

Cleaned head
Cleaned block
LGH anyone know what company this is?
Took it for a spin to get some hylomar for the new rocker box gasket.
Seems to be running fine, I got another BK450 gasket, but it was in a unipart packet and no place of manufacture!
So im not sure if I've got a good one or not. Time will tell I suppose.
I will let it cool right down and re-torque the head nuts and sort out a new gasket for the rocker box.
Oh and fit this
Everyone seemed to complain about the sloppy welding on these rads.
I don't think there too bad.

Nice work again Ben

Yeah thankfully, cleaned them off and was fine.
On my first 998 engine I blew a hole in the block after the headgasket went and I drove it home 15 odd miles.
Im sitting here watching 2 and a half men on tv, while polishing the top tank of the radiator
