I've still got to fit

My number plate light

Fit my legal front number plate.

Fit a cv joint clip

and repair my heater as the matrix is leaking

Did all that, and fitted a couple new bonnet pins, as some of mine wern't in great condition.

So tomorrow at 10am, i've got my MOT.

I have the feeling it's going to fail on emmisions, as I've been told the cam creates too many hydro carbons.

It just failed on emmisions.

Actualy so much so it clogged up their machine :-

and an advisory on oil leak.

Will sort the oil leak and put in some decent quality oil in, as the guy said it might be burning a little bit of the cheap stuff im using at the moment.

Then will lean the engine right off and advance the ignition to try and get it through.
The 286 cam in it what is causing most of the problems.

Fuel pressure regulator
actuator
return fuel line
Turbo bulkhead box
Oil return

Not alot left to get now.

I've got too sell off some parts now though, because im running very low on funds.

Getting a new welder for my birthday hopefully, so can do a bit of welding on the car.

It needs a little bit at the end of the sill where it meets flitch panel, behind the shock mounts, not that bad realy, just peace of mind, oh and the turbo box welding in.

In there again, it turned out last time 1 and 2 wernt firing correctly.

So got that sorted, re-gapped the plugs, gave the 12v coil a 12v feed, instead of the ballast system, 25thou valve clearances

Gave it a stage 3 head. It runs alot smoother and hopefully it will go through.

Oh and it's now only got super unleaded in it, it was spluttering with low fuel on the way there, so put a jerry can of super in.
Although im still sceptacle, not sure if it will go through!

Well, they couldn't fit it in today. I have to be back at uni on monday, so that's another few weeks insurancing and taxing a car in the garage.

Yeah, he did last time. Although he's going to costa rica for 2 weeks on monday. I could come back next friday, and a friend of a friend had told me, that if I take it too him, it will mysteriously pass emmisions.

Just scraped all the bitchumin sound deadening off the rear seat (2kg)

Done the passenger footwell and front section of the exhaust tunnel.

Im going to aim too lose 30kg of the overall weight of the car.

Im still too remove the rest of the bitchumin, and will then get out the hole saw and grinder.

Will hole saw :

rear seat
rear companion bins
crossmember
rear valvance
rear subframe

Then take some metal out of the inner door skins.

Then plaggy windows. Hopefully see the 30kg away.

If it's still too heavy, I will give it a beam and coilovers on the back.

I don't know if you've finished now.

The easiest way for me was with a screwdriver and hammer. It just comes off in 4 or 5 inch chunks.

I was heating it up and scrapping it off, but that took ages and left a mess.

Im back at uni now, hopefully go home on thursday night and get an MOT on the friday.
Feels like forever since i've had it with me at uni.
