Hats off to your determination bud.

Again, another easy fix lol. Could have caused some serious damage that thing. So is it running pretty sweet now then?

Made a bit of a mess of the bench rubbing down the yellow high build primer.

Crap bonnet, will laquer it tomorrow. Utter waste of time this bonnet, I could have bought a new fibreglass one, for the price of this one and all of the materials in order too remove all the inperfections. It still looks rubbish.

Just out in the mini for a little blast.

I was going 99.7mph (70mph officer).

The ignition feed fell off the solonoid and I ground too a halt. Popped it back on, restarted it and the exhaust sounds as if its fallen off >_<

SO I will pop on a new spade connector tomorrow as it seems a little loose, and re seal the exhaust. Happy now though, done 100 miles on this engine.

I think i've timed in the cam better this time as it seems too pull a little harder lower down, althoug I may just be making it up and forgoten how quick it is.

Happy again though as I can actualy drive my mini!!! :dontgetit:

 . Does sound like the manifolds cracked, or come off at the head. Does the engine move, of is it nice and solid?

it

Solid as a rock. ultimate engine steady, standard steady, gearbox steady. All with new poly bushes.

Although, the threads in the head arn't fantastic, may have too get some longer bolts. I bolt mine on as it's qucker/easier too on/off.

The manifold has been welded in the past aswell, so that may have broken. The exhaust is rubbing the floor, but im not bothered about that realy.

I'll investigate tomorrow. If the welds have cracked open, i'll get a new manifold at combe.

Manifold bolt had just come loose, fitted a new one with spring washer.

The bonnet is a completly the wrong colour. And it's matt. So will slap it on and stick on my number plate and just have too make do, looks alot better than the white one though.

How come it's a different colour? Did you use a different paint or do too many layers or something?
