are the pressed steal tappets alot noiser? or is that cause you've fitted a cam ??

I've set them all too 14 thou because I didn't know what to set them too, they seem pretty tapety, but that was the least on my mind at the time.

hahahha lol i know what you mean i reset mine twice as the first time i forgot the rule of 9 and was lil too noisy
then redid them again after the new head gasket

Just ordered some 12mm blue silicone hose to brighten up the engine bay even more, This will be used as part of the cooling system and part of the breathers. I will use a combination of blue hose and solid tubing sprayed flouresant geren like the breather canister, and the oil feed pipe.


Also I've had a boss made up to hold my lambda sensor in my manifold Y-piece, so I will cut that to the right size and weld it in, then wire in my fuel ratio gauge to help me setup the 1380 properly.

Up on ramps

Took me 2 hours to remove LCB after it cracked and bent.



LCB welded up as it had cracked/bent

Went too great western mini day, load of rubbish, traders didn't turn up and it rained alot.



Niiiiiiiiice and low!



So went home!


CD player got soaked in the downpour so now thats playing funny buggers and won't accept cd's.




My new gauge, reads a little rich, but 1380 goes well. I kept up with a mini with a Novq GSI engine today, all be it fully laiden.



repaired and fitted my glass mount arieal.


Trying to track down a different set of seats at the moment, and I need some more/ new engine steadys

What size is the nova GSi engine like?

My engine steadies are fubbard aswell. Makes a clunk with every gear change > _ < lol.

1.6 8v, his made 98ish bhp at the wheels.

To be fair he had gone camping the night before and still had all his gear and had a full roof rack.

Although like you politely pointed out earlier my diff helps. Smashed a horrible bini estate s on the way home though, tried undertaking me cause there was traffic infront of me but there was traffic in the other lane too so he only got along side me then the guy infront pulled in and BAM! Down with the right foot hehe

Fair play though, seemed to be plenty of grunt in that powerplant, specially on cam
Had to copy you on the way out though, went a bit sideways hehe
