I have reset the ride height and now it looks soo good. Doesn't rub either which is nice, I will say thought that the ride is terrible, but im willing to live with it
I had my tracking done today, got charged 24 quid because it was the only place that could do my car. Only 30mm out, So far ive got caught on a few speed bumps, a kurb and now the ramps at the tyre place when I had my tracking done. I had to get out and a few of them and I lifted the front a bit to get it off.
Mini sitting low.
Getting wheel alignment done.
Just waiting on a piston ring now so I can build my 1380.

Well the piston ring will arrive in due time. I only paid for it a couple of days ago as I had no money. It's coming from a member on here and he's been very good when Ive bought things from him before, within the next week I assume. Theres no real rush at the moment.
The roll cage bolts and seat mount bolts sometimes catch, but the exhaust has aswell. I'll cut down the bolts poking through the floors.

Rear lenses being washed.
My gearbox donor.
Lenses being sprayed
Bell housing off and a load of water poors out of gearbox, UH OH!
New lenses and sprayed lenses.
One lovely and clean gearbox.
The gearbox thankfully was OK on the inside despite having water sitting in it. It still had loads of oil over everything so nothing seems to have corroded. Ive now oiled it up and spun it around and all is well. I will use this gearbox and fit the metty turbo diff too it. A centre oil pickup would be a good idea aswell I suppose.

Nice one, should be an easy fix that bolt. You got a countersink drill bit?

You need to counter sink the hole and fit a pozi drive counersunk head screw - very common problem. Worth fitting the tensioner back on as well.
Yup thanks for the advice, I started a topic in technical help and have been advised to countersink the plate, and use drum brake screws.

Yup and use drum brake screws.
Iv just sat and gone thought this whole topic. Love the colour. I really should get some work on mine doing. The new tail lights are such an improvment the old ones looked so dirty. Keep up the work.
Thanks alot mate. It took alot of hard work.
Modified my timing cover, stripped off the splash lip, and bashed out the dent.
Never realy liked the white, so stripped that off.
Prepped it, primered it and sprayed it silver.
SO happy i've got all 4 pistons/rods on and it spins now.
This is my workshop, a clear plastic cieling, it's sooooooo hot in there at the moment and the primer was touch dry after about 30 seconds. Thats why there are regular updates. I can't stand to be in there more than 10 minutes before getting too hot.
Oh and I got nitromores on my hand/arms, it burns quite badly.

I may take a panel out of it too try and get some air in there. I had to take the aerosol spray cans out and dip them in cold water because I couldn't hold onto them they were so hot. I don't think im going to go back in until the evening.

Well 1 step forward and 2 steps back.
Gearbox is about done now.
Engine is also about done now aswell.
Engine together, all torqued up. I fitted the timing cover, then removed it, fitted my chain tensioner, and then fitted it again, the gasket wastn't very good when I took it out so it will probably leak. AH well, I'll sort it out another time, (probably never will)
Went to fit my central oil pick up, realised I had to take apart the gearbox, started to do this, realised that my torque wrench wouldn't go high enough to put it back together, so I've got the standard pick up on it, not ideal but I suppose but done. Put it all back together, need some diff output oil seals for it though.
