Spent more time on them, and got a pretty good finish on that one, now to do the others and paint them.

A panel off, and biiiiiiig hole.

Door off

Ummmmmm.............door :)

Patern

Patch welded in.

Just the same again on the other side, and the shock mount. And that looks to be most of the rust gone!!!

I need to do loads of grinding back, and start paint prep. :D

Not sure if im going to go for fixed a-panels or removable ones attached to the front end.

Wanted a rolling shell today, but big holes slowed progress, so i chucked the front frame on so i can jack it up on that and weld up the hole where the blocks were.

Its just that bit of welding on the flitch, and offside shock mount and that should be all the rot gone.

Hopefully rust free rolling shell by the end of the month.

I got a new flitch panel and cut it down to what I needed. Unfortunatly my welder has gone wrong and won't penetrate or just plain work.

Posted Image

Bottom patch went in ok, but not great.

Posted Image

Fitted my rear beam back in so I could move it about and tidy up the garage.

Posted Image

It needs an engine to bring that front end down!

So I need to finish off the welding on the front right. and the shell is not far off ready for paint prep.

Got my F13 box bolted up, only a couple of bolts to make sure it fits.

Posted Image

Rolled it out into the sunshine to turn it around.

Posted Image

Posted Image

And back in.

Posted Image

Engine looks huge compared to the car!

Posted Image

Hole

Posted Image

Sorted the welder and got the flitch in.

Posted Image

It had quite a bit of work done around here.

Posted Image

Cut out all the rot, but im not fixing it until I wire brush all the rust out and get some paint in there.

I got some engine mounts, not sure how good they will be, but will try them.
As you can see the sump is sitting on the frame, so I need to get hold of a steel one rather than the cast aluminium one I have now.

Posted Image

Got the shock welded up, so looooads of grinding back and pretty much all the rust is gone! Just need my gas bottle filled up so I can weld up some strengthening plates for the floor subframe mounts and cage mounts. But that can wait for a bit.

Posted Image

I don't know why, but i love the look of twin cam pulleys, kinda motivates me a bit.

Did alot of cutting out ready for some lighter parts.

Posted Image

Picked up some parts from a mate breaking his project.

Another allspeed subframe
MPI Tank
Fuel lines
Allspeed driveshafts
Diesel gearbox
Hydraulic clutch slave
vauxhall/mini loom
fibreglass rear valance
fibreglass boot floor
fibreglass front end
radiator
Some plumbing
Fuel pump

I have a carbon boot floor but it's not great so will probably use the fibreglass one.

Posted Image

Allspeed shafts

Posted Image

Allspeed frame/diesel box

Posted Image

Full boot

Posted Image

BMW full of mini bits.

Posted Image

This is the carbon boot floor, that I probably won't use.

Posted Image

I do like the carbon though :)

I'll get some better picture, and maybe some progress tomorrow :)
