New gas
Cheeky gusset.
Popped the beam on quickly just to check ride height.
That's as low as it'll go, but there isnt anything in it. I thought it looked really high!
Until I saw the un-tubbed side.
Also tried on my camber brackets I bought at riv run months ago. But I might get the toe ones instead.
Needs to be lower.
Arches I will be using.
I'll take the beam off and finish that off, finish off the rear nearside arch and then move onto the other side.
Then just carry on making it stronger and lighter.

Couple of things actually -
are you going for coilovers, so you can adjust the spring rate properly?. And are you going to modify the front subframe to get it sitting lower, but without silly arm angles?

Ha ha....Yeah beam frame. Im going to try and get a ARB for it aswell. to try and stop this sort of thing.
Im unsure yet, im going to get it at the height I want and see how they look..
I'll probably take out the spacers and see how that is, if not I'll take a bit of height out of the towers.
What are you doing to make it lighter? whats your target for the final weight?
Matt
It's getting lighter all the time, by replacing things with lighter materials and removing weight wherever possible.
I'd like to get it as low as possible. I'd like something like 550-600kg
But that's not going to happen too soon until I can get some new lightweight parts.

Some may have noticed the horrible noise it makes, thats the offside rear coilover binding on the arch a little.
The bottom of the coilover body seems to touch the radius arm near the stud where it attatches, meaning the shock won't bolt up flush to the arm.
Can anyone see much of a problem grinding a little bit of material on the radius arm so the shock can sit up flush?

Bodge suspension yaaaaaaaaay
Welded up a hole.
Made a bigger one.
Started to remove some rot.
Formed the lip.
Now I need to make up the new arch and repair under the rear light.

My clubby had rotted in the exact same place. I just had it sorted. Now I need to get it painted to match.
Its coming along really well though. Looking forward to rivi! You better take me out for a blast in it with some turrrrrrrbo action!

I found a couple of patches on the leading edge of the r/o/s arch and started to weld in the tubbed section.
Once that's finished off, I can repair under the light and the shell will be fairly solid. I know at the front it needs a new front end, 1 a panel and I'll have too see about the scuttle, that's a maybe at the moment.
Only problem im having is my cheap welder which doesn't work well when warm.
