Damn hope it's ready for Riv!. I've got loads of spare panels / offcuts from when I did my mini, so if you need any give me a shout!.

Well, it needs a new front, a panels and patching. So that's not too much to worry about, I can get those quite easily. Going to try and get as much as I can in some sort of composite to try and lighten it up a bit, as its a bit of a heavy old bus atm.

Not sure what it will have to be honest. I might as well bolt it all up. Now the car is off the road and I only live 5 mins from the garage, there's no excuse for me not to crack on and make it a little rocket!!
Also as it's now a second car, i can concentrate on performance rather than aesthetics and user friendliness.

I've got some figures in my head, which should make for quite a fun little car.

Oh yeh, and no matter what, it has to be faster than capainbland08's red shed.

I thought I'd give the heal board and boot floor a good inspection, smacking it with a hammer, and stabbing with a screwdriver, and it's solid......Which is nice.














Looks like I found this split fuel hose just in time.

I want the shell finished by christmas.

Started removing the bitumen from the boot, what an absolute nightmare, good for sound proofing, bad for everything else.



Battery box out.





Slipped with the grinder on the inside, will have to build it up with weld on the inside to repair.



Started to reform the lip.

I want mine done by rivi 2012. But with winter coming and me only being able to work on mine outside I'll be lucky if it is! Might see if I can make Beaulieu in it though! Yours is coming along great Ben. It doesn't seem to rotten which is always nice!

I caught most of the rot a few years ago when I first sorted it. But some quick rushed repairs means it has come back. I don't have pictures but alot of my nearside rear arch/seat base is missing.

I hate rust, I really really hate it.
I know where the rust is im just working forward sorting it out as I go. Hopefully my big gas bottle will be filled tomorrow so I can crack on and get back to welding.

What spec engine you dropping in? you going turbo did i read somewhere?
