Probably works out cheaper to pay the extra on insurance than keep repairing the mini every16 weeks.... LOL

I think everyone does go through the motions of selling up! and in Harber's case sometime do go through, but if the bugs bitten they will be back, or keep a hand in with the community or someone else's project!

But there is no other car that gives as many cheeky smiles!

Without a doubt. A golf is around 350 quid more to insure. But I no doubt would want to fill the engine bay with a vr6 or 20VT. So I know I'd end up spending more money on that anyway.

Don't worry, im not getting rid of it any time soon.

New manifold gaskets, new carb gaskets and a new thermostat.

Did a couple of other little things, like changing nuts and studs etc.

Could probably do with a new exhaust, but that's coming soon enough.

Found that in the head as well. Probably a good job I found it now. I'm a bit of a gerkin ^_^

Also, noticed my inlet manifold wasn't aligned properly and hasn't been the whole time I've had it because I don't have those alignment ring thingys. So I tried my best by guessing, it runs alot smoother now, so I will do it properly when i'm home, with some dowels in the head. It runs sweeter and goes a bit better now.

I've also bought a wizzy spinny tool thingy, so I can do some port work, and open up the chambers on one of my other heads.

Oh yeah, it still sounds funny under load. Starting to think it might be the carb.

Ballast?

It's still not running right, sounds like a fart. I think I might have a head gasket leak. So I'll whip it off and redo the gasket. I've spent the last 8 hours or working on mymini007's cars. So im sick to death of minis. Ah well, for the next few days...or weeks im going flat out on it.

Easy!

Bored of it being slow now, so spending my beer money on more turbo parts.
The sooner it's turbo'd, the sooner i get bored again, the sooner I wind up the boost...blow it up and fit something new.

Im hoping for headgasket. It's still running, just lumpy a poop.

It did overheat badly a week or two ago due to a stuck thermostat.
