Hi All

Been having a problem with the above for a while now. Complained to ICI, they gave me free paint, advice and a 'lab test' on flakes of paint that I posted, but I'm still finding it *rubbish* (really thin pigment wise, needs LOADS of thin coats to avoid sagging, doesn't seem to cure more than a rubbery consistency and can damage it with a fingernail even after months of curing).

FYI This is on steel and alu, with and without the relevant primers...I wouldn't reccomend it at all...

Now I'm coming up to restoring some wheels (KN mercuries, woohoo! :D) and I don't want them flaking at the first gust of wind like the rest of the suspension will>_< .

So...anyone know a good alternative? I read alot on here about hammerite this and hammerite that, but it's a household term almost...I have a big party size keg of gloss black chassis paint which I will prolly use unless anyone has any reccomendations?

Cheers

Al

Personally I find POR-15 from Frost amazing! One pot goes so far! Follow the instructions well and not only do you get a great finish but it also doesn't chip like hammerite nor does it go on that thick and look horrid!
