For those of you following the thread, E11evns and I were having a discussion about possible rupture of the fuel cooler so in an effort to stop this I have made a debris guard.
Fortunately I just happened to have some perforated ali sheet lying around so I cut of a corner and whipped up a guard, well it took a couple of hours after having to remove the bloody thing....

Ages ago I said I was going to make a battery holder, but it fell by the wayside. So tonight I had my making stuff head on and I took the plunge and made one.
Dah dahhhh.....:

the fuel guard looks sooooo much better!!
Cheers, it has definitely put my mind at ease knowing that I have a good barrier to stop flying debris, also it'll stop little people putting unwanted things in there.
Its coming together now , and am always surprised by your fabrication skills .
Yep, its coming together, seems like everything I do takes so frickin long to complete, days spent tidying wiring.....when will it all end?????
Nice job dude !

Sorry your on your own there, I am using original steel doors with winders for now, being super light weight not so much of an issue with so much HP, although carbon doors is on my list of stuff to upgrade to later down the line.

got any pics of your rear diffuser fitted?
Sorry no pics yet as not fitted, had a weekend away so nothing done over the last 7 days, once fitted I'll post some pics.
<3 coming along nicely any info on that lovely dash of yours
Cheers, the dash is from Z's, carbon fibre dash without the usual centre lump/console that you see in some.
Fingers crossed my trailer should be ready this weekend so I can start taking the car to the various places to get bits done, like to Northamptonshire for the engine and my mates garage to fit the diffuser (bit tricky on axle stands). Doesnt look like it going to be ready for the National Mini Show in Sept so I am going to stop giving deadlines as I keep breaking them. It'll get done soon......

I have a question if that is ok. Your engine have you done anything too it internally with you having the charger. The reason I ask is I am thinking of going down your route now I have driven mine ( round the ring and a few runs at santa pod) and I might need a few more horses....

Nice project fella. Been watching for some time and it looks as though its going to be a head turner. I know what you meen about setting deadlines I managed to finish mine for a trip to nurburgring but only with days to spare, and I only did 10 miles before I took it.

Hey Rob
The engine has not had any internal changes but I have been advised that going much more than 300hp with the standard internals is not the best of ideas. If you read some of the forums for the k20 engine you hear all kinds of claims of people running upward of 400 hp on standard internals but how long they last is any bodies guess - I personally wouldnt. +
PM if you want the details of the guy that supplied mine.
I have set my self a date to have it all running for a track day on 3&4 Oct at RAF Marham, fortunately it doesnt have to be road legal for it, so I can take it and give it a real good shake down before getting it ready for testing. I'll probably be the same is you and hardly driven it before taking it out on track.
you taking it to miniworld action day on sept 26th mine will be done by then........just.
If I am honest I hadnt planned to, although I might look into it now. I stuck my head in the garage last night and I still have a lot to do, so might need all the time I have to get it ready for the track weekend in Oct - we will have to see nearer the time I think.....
